Emotional, mysterious, poppy. Singer-songwriter Frank Demian shows you the different aspects of his soul. Active since the end of the nineties, Frank wrote hundreds of songs in the intimacy of his room ánd on his journeys. Playing these songs live wasn’t enough – he had to record them! Frank’s debut album ”Late in the morning” (2015) told about unattainable loves, homesickness and surfing. Neil Young, the Beach Boys and Kate Bush were his inspirations. The album tour took him as far as Germany, Bosnia-Hercegovina and Aruba. On 21st September 2018 a passionated Frank Demian released his second album. On “Till the oceans flood” you can hear his recent happiness in love in vibrant and cheerful pop songs. At the same time melancholy remains. On the album the singer-songwriter finds a crossover with reggae, country, eighties pop and doowop. You’re hearing acoustic guitar, hellish kazoo, sax, mandolin and an eccentric Indian instrument. The album is produced by Remko Schouten (Pavement, Devendra Banhart, Canshaker Pi). The album earned good reviews on music blogs and Maverick Magazine (UK) called it “lovely folk from the continent”. Frank lives in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and has his roots in the Amsterdam Songwriters Guild.
